1. How do I contribute to the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)?

The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a voluntary program with no direct funding from the town that is supported through federal grants, if available, and charitable contributions of products, services and cash donations. Cash contributions provide us the most flexibility. For contact information, visit the CERT page.

2. How do I join the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)?

Fill out the online form and mail it to Shrewsbury Emergency Management at Town Hall:

When we receive your application, we will schedule you for the next training class and do the required criminal background (CORI) check.

3. What is the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)?

Volunteers in town make up the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Trained in life safety, basic first aid, light search and rescue and fire safety and suppression, we support our first responders and other town departments when called to duty.
