    The Department of Public Works (DPW) in collaboration with Waste Management is looking forward to providing the residents of Shrewsbury with new and enhanced recycling collection services to be added to the Town’s PAY-T program set to begin July 1, 2019. Residents are encouraged to attend this event hosted by the Town of Shrewsbury with personnel from Waste Management in attendance to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the new collection programs. - Find out what kinds of items can go into your curbside recycling bins. - Win door prizes and giveaway items

Recycling Calendar

  1. Regional Drive-thru Recycling and Reuse Event

    June 22, 2019, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ On the grounds of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine

    Items collected include electronics, Styrofoam (white #6 only), textiles, books & more. Styrofoam collected at no charge – no food containers or packaging peanuts and free of stickers and tape) and assorted clothing and textiles (clean, dry and odor free) to benefit non-profit organizations. This includes used clothing and textiles, shoes, purses, wallets, belts, sheets, curtains, pillows, table cloths (holes and rips okay). For the Cummings Veterinary Center at Tufts University and local animal shelters (label Animal on the bag), bring clean, old, worn sheets, towels and blankets. New or like-new craft and office supplies are being donated to The Great Exchange. Other new items being collected include used mascara wands (wash with Dawn dish detergent and dry; being donated to animal wildlife refuge centers), dried out colored markers, Sharpies, highlighters and dry erase markers. Hosted by WE CAN, Grafton, Northboro, Shrewsbury & Westboro. Volunteers welcome!
