    This 60-hour training provides all of the educational requirements to qualify for certification as an Addictions Recovery Coach (CARC). Participants Must Attend Program in its entirety. Program Includes: Recovery Coach Academy (30 CEUs)- April 15-19, 2019 from 9am-4:30pm; Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches (16 CEUs) - May 15 &16, 2019 from 9am-4:30pm and May 17, 2019 from 9am-2pm; Addictions 101 (5 CEUs)- June 12, 2019 from 9am-3:30pm; Cultural Competency (3 CEUs)- June 13, 2019 from 9am-12:15pm; Motivational Interviewing (3 CEUs)- June 13, 2019 from 1pm-4:15pm; Mental Health (3 CEUs)- June 14, 2019 from 9am-12:15pm

  2. Kid's Equipment Day/ DPW Open House

    June 1, 2019, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM @ Municipal Highway Garage

    Come learn about the DPW's operations and see the equipment up close. Great day to take photos of kids, big and small, in town trucks. Free replica hard hats to the first 250 kids. We will also be participating in the NE Public Works "Fill a Truck" initiative. Please bring a toiletry item that we will donate to St. Anne's Human Services. Other departments joining us include Police, Fire and Waste Management.

Recycling Calendar

  1. BLUE RECYCLING WEEK

    May 27, 2019 - June 1, 2019

    In observance of Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, 2018, there will be a one day delay for that day's collection as well as the remainder of the week. Friday's route will be picked up on Saturday. This is a BLUE recycling week.

    June 1, 2019, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

    A new Solid Waste & Recycling Program will come into effect on July 1, 2019. Shrewsbury residents who participate in the Pay As You Throw Program are encouraged to attend one of the upcoming Informational Sessions with personnel from Waste Management.
