The Public Building Department maintains a combined 971,556 square feet of facilities. The Shrewsbury Public School System accounts for approximately 860,133 feet of that space, with the Town buildings accounting for the remaining 111,423 feet.

The oldest building the Town maintains is the Ray Stone Legion building at 238 Main St, erected in 1858. Once completed, the Shrewsbury Public Library will be the newest facility under our stewardship.

• Coolidge School 1927 with additions in 1940 and 1969 and four modular classrooms added in 1995
• Paton School 1949 with addition of three modular classrooms in 2000
• Oak Middle School 1957 with an addition in 1981 and renovation in 2004
• Sherwood Middle School 2013
• Spring Street School 1968 with two modular classrooms added 1995 and four modular classrooms added in 2000
• Floral Street School 1997
• Parker Road Preschool 1954 with an addition in 2003
• Municipal Office Building 1966 with an addition in 1997
• Fire Headquarters built in 2007
• Lake Fire Station 1951 renovated in 2007
