[ARCHIVED] Message from the Shrewsbury Water Department

Water pump with text Shrewsbury Water Department and Established 1905 around pump

The Water Department will be conducting hydrant flow testing on the Glavin Property off of Lake St. tomorrow morning, Friday July 6th, between 9 AM to 11 AM. This work is a necessary part of the design process for the new Beal School Replacement Project. Adjacent areas may encounter discolored water temporarily, such as Lake Street from Spruce Street to Boston Turnpike and the southerly side over to Roman Drive., lower Crescent Street and associated areas from Spruce Street to Boston Turnpike and the Boston Turnpike area on the easterly side from Lake Street to Memorial Drive.

Depending on circumstances, discoloration may temporarily extend beyond these defined areas. Please try to refrain from water related activities such as laundry and dish-washing so as to not introduce discolored water into your residence. We will do what we can to limit any impact to our customers during this associated work. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. If you have any questions, please contact the Water Department at 508-841-8506.
