The Select Board is seeking five (5) qualified individuals interested in serving on the Scholarship Committee for a term set to expire on October 31, 2026.
The Town of Shrewsbury Scholarship Fund was created through a Town Meeting vote in 1995. The Scholarship Fund is supported through generous donations and is used to award $500.00 scholarships to high school seniors who are residents of Shrewsbury. Awards are made based on financial need, character, community service, and academic achievement. The Scholarship Committee is responsible for overseeing this Fund, reviewing applications, and awarding scholarships.
The Scholarship Committee is composed of six members who serve three-year terms. If you are interested in applying to serve on the Scholarship Committee, please send a letter of interest and resume to Justin Dobson, Assistant to Town Manager, jdobson@shrewsburyma.gov, no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2023.
