[ARCHIVED] Tips to prevent refuse from blowing around

If possible, please wait till 7:00 a.m. to place your rubbish and recycling at the curb. This will reduce the amount of time your trash and recycling are exposed to high wind conditions.

When it comes to recycling, place the heaviest items on top. This will weigh down the lighter items.

Stand up paper and cardboard in the recycling bin instead of laying it flat.

Bring your containers in as soon as possible after collection, so they won't blow down the street.

Please write your address on your bins.

If you are home, keep an eye on neighborhood containers. Help and secure them if it looks like the container or items from it are blowing away.

As always, your efforts are appreciated!
