[ARCHIVED] Notice from the Shrewsbury Water Department

Water pump with text Shrewsbury Water Department and Established 1905 around pump

Town wide leak detection will begin on Monday, November 20th and continue for the upcoming weeks. Prowler Water Conservation, a contractor for the Shrewsbury Water and Sewer Department, will be conducting this work by means of high frequency listening devices using fire hydrants, gate valves and service curb stops to listen for the sound of leaking water. This process should have no impact on water service pressures or quality. This process is one of many steps being used to reduce the Town’s unaccounted for water and locate leaks in the distribution system. If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Shrewsbury Water Department at (508) 841-8506.
