The Board of Selectmen is seeking one qualified individual to fill a vacant seat on the Affordable Housing Trust with a term set to expire on June 30, 2024. The Affordable Housing Trust is a newly created municipal Board that was established through Article 27 of the General Bylaws, adopted by Town Meeting on September 9, 2021. The Trust will be issuing a scope of service in July to seek the professional assistance of a consultant to help draft and refine an Affordable Housing Trust Action Plan that will shape the overall goals and priorities of the Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new municipal Board as it embarks on implementing its goal of creating and preserving affordable housing in the Town of Shrewsbury.
Interested applicants must be residents of the Town and are asked to submit a letter of interest and qualifications to the Office of the Board of Selectmen, 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 or by email to selectmen@shrewsburyma.gov no later than 4:30pm on August 25, 2022.
