As part of our ongoing commitment to providing up-to-date and efficient services, the Town of Shrewsbury Online Building Permit system will undergo a scheduled maintenance from Tuesday 9/5 at noon through Wednesday 9/6 at 2:00 pm. Our online permit system will be unavailable during this time. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
During our scheduled maintenance we will migrate all permit data to our new system. This will be an entirely new application called ViewPermit. The system will have enhanced features and better performance over our existing platform. Once this migration is complete the permits system should be back online. The project's progress will be announced on our website.
We encourage residents and contractors to register and log in to our new system. For anyone who has used ViewPermit in another community, your same login and password will work here. Unfortunately, those with existing logins for our old system must re-register in the new application.
Click on the link below to open the new portal, then click on the "login" link in the upper right corner of the screen, then select "SIGN UP". If at any time you can not remember your password, follow the instructions on the screen. Your user ID will be your email address. The portal is open now but will become fully functional when the permitting data has been transferred.
