Re: Update Regarding Yard Waste Collection

As communicated this afternoon, this week’s regularly scheduled yard waste collections have been postponed until next week.  Yard waste collections will also continue the week of May 16, 2022 as scheduled.

Due to staffing shortages, the Town’s contracted waste hauler is unable to provide services this week as scheduled.  Please know that the Town is holding the contractor to all contractual obligations.   The original schedule has not been met due to the staffing shortages, but the contracted number of yard waste collections have been completed as required.  The Town will continue to ensure all contracted collections are completed.

Residents have the option to drop their yard waste off at the Town Highway Garage located at 211 South Street on weekdays from 7:30am to 3:30pm Wednesday, May 4, 2022, to Monday, May 16, 2022 from 7:30am to 3:30pm.  The Town is working on additional options for residents and if they come to fruition we will share that information.

We apologize for the inconvenience.  Residents may keep materials at the curb this week or place them there next week at your discretion.
