[ARCHIVED] Notice from Shrewsbury Water Department

Earlier this morning at approximately 7:15 A. M., the water main was broken by a contractor working on a drainage project at the Spring Street School.  This line runs between Vista Drive in the North Street area and Spring Street causing water discoloration in both adjacent areas.  The water main is scheduled to be turned back on at approximately 3:00 P.M. this afternoon.  Even though the line will be flushed, residents in these adjoining areas may temporarily experience discolored water.  If you experience this condition, please flush the cold water line in your first floor bathtub or an outside faucet so as to not introduce discolored water throughout your residence.  If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact our office at 508-841-8506 between 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. or the Fire Department information line at 508-841-8522 after our office has closed.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.
