[ARCHIVED] Important Reminder from the Water & Sewer Division - Unidirectional Flushing to Continue Today

Contractor, Hydra Tech, will continue unidirectional flushing in Zone 12 today, Monday, December 6th. Due to the flushing, residents in the identified area as well as those in the vicinity of the project may experience brief periods of reduced pressure, no water, or discolored water.   Please follow the link below for a map of the flushing areas. Since the fall of 2019, unidirectional flushing has been completed in Zones 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 with only Zone 12 remaining to complete the entire town. 

Flushing will begin around 8:00AM on Monday, December 6th and be finished around 4:00PM. It is difficult to estimate how the work will progress each day so the list below may be optimistic but is provided to better inform everyone in the area that may be flushed. Daily updates will be provided.

Tentative flushing schedule for Monday, December 6th from 8:00AM to 4:00PM:

  2. Jane Street
  3. Hemingway Street
  4. Faulkner Road
  5. Hawthorne Road
  6. Baldwin Circle
  7. Thoreau Circle
  8. Sinclair Road
  9. Emerson Circle
  10. Beths Road
  11. Sheryl Drive
  12. Topsfield Circle
  13. Roman Drive
  14. Hyliar Drive

If you experience discolored water once the flushing is complete, please run the cold water in downstairs bathtub until it clears.
