This is an important message from Water & Sewer a division within the Shrewsbury Department of Public Works. Earlier this year the Sewer Commissioners held two (2) public hearings to discuss the Sewer Rate Study. The hearings were conducted on March 8, 2021, and March 15, 2021. Following the second public hearing on March 15, 2021, the Sewer Commission voted in favor of the financial plan presented in the Sewer Rate Study. The Sewer Commissioners once again reviewed the rate structure proposed for Fiscal Year 2022 at their June 10, 2021 meeting. With the anticipation of the American Rescue Plan Act funding, the rates proposed effective July 1, 2022, were able to be reduced by 3.63% in aggregate.
