[ARCHIVED] Message from the Shrewsbury Water Department

Water pump with text Shrewsbury Water Department and Established 1905 around pump

On Thursday, March 30th starting at 9:00am, a fire pump test is being performed at the business located at 333 South St. The nature of this test may stir up manganese and other sediment in the water lines in your area. As a precaution, we ask that you refrain from laundry, food preparation and other water related activities during the time period of 9:00am – 12:00pm. If you experience discolored water, please run the water from an outside faucet if the water is on or the cold water in the first floor bathtub. This will help keep sediment out of the hot water and other plumbing fixtures. Time to run the water until clear will vary. Any questions or concerns please contact the Water Department at 508-841-8506. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
