[ARCHIVED] Al-Hamra Academy Garden Beds

Al-Hamra Academy is offering raised garden beds to the public. They have 5 full beds which are 4x12 in a super sunny fenced in area in the fields of Al-Hamra Academy located at 435 South Street, Shrewsbury. Each full bed will be $30 and a half bed will be $15. The beds will only be available after 3:30pm on weekdays and any time on weekends during the school year which ends on June 17, 2021 and starts again on September 1, 2021. When school is not in session you can tend your garden any time. There will be a rain barrels but you may need to bring your own water as well, in case it is dry.  You can plant annual vegetable or flowers, this is your plot for just 2021. They anticipate that you will be able to start work on your bed starting May 10. No herbicides or pesticides will be allowed and IPM or organic methods are preferred.
