[ARCHIVED] Important Notice from the Water & Sewer Division - Pressure Reducing Valve Testing on April 22

On Thursday, April 22, 2021, beginning at 8:30 a.m., the Water and Sewer Division and the Town’s consultant, Tata and Howard will be performing flow testing of the pressure reducing valves.  The Town has three pressure zones that are independent of each other and these devises are critical infrastructure which allow water to flow from the high pressure zone to the reduced pressure zone in the event of an emergency such as a water main break or fire.  This testing is necessary to ensure these devices are functioning properly. Please follow the link for a map of the area where the testing will be performed.

Due to the flow testing, residents in the identified area as well as those in the vicinity of the project may experience brief periods of reduced pressure or discolored water. If you experience discolored water once the testing is complete, please run the cold water in a downstairs bathtub until it clears.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.  If you have any questions please contact the Water and Sewer Division at 508-841-8502 or
