TOWN OF SHREWSBURY TO CONDUCT SANITARY SEWER INVESTIGATIONS

On behalf of the Town of Shrewsbury, the Town’s wastewater consultants, Weston & Sampson, will be conducting investigations of the sanitary sewer system in the Thomas Farm Circle, Hunting Avenue, Washington Street, South Street (from Main Street to Hunting Avenue), Main Street (from South Street to Liberty Avenue), Spring Street at Spring Meadow Drive, North Street at Prospect Street, Hill Street, and Prospect Street at Cranbrook Road areas of Town. Weston & Sampson may need to access your property to conduct the investigations in the sanitary sewer easements operated and maintained by the Town. This work will be conducted in February through April 2017.

These investigations are being conducted as part of Shrewsbury’s 2017 Infiltration Investigations Project. The purpose of the investigations is to locate sources of groundwater entering the sanitary sewer. By removing this extra flow, Shrewsbury will reduce the amount of wastewater it sends to the regional Westborough Wastewater Treatment Plant.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience during this work and appreciate your continued cooperation while we strive to improve our sanitary sewer system.
