15 additional positive cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Town of Shrewsbury since April 2, 2021 bringing the cumulative total to 2,791*. (*may not include cases from Sunday April 4, 2021)
We are urging Shrewsbury residents to consider their own responsibility to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. We are still seeing community spread occurring despite vaccination efforts. It is crucial for us to keep our guards up and remain vigilant until herd immunity is achieved.
The most effective ways to reduce your risk in contracting the virus and preventing the spread are:
Wear a mask.
Wash your hands.
↔️Keep your distance.
🧴Clean & Disinfect frequently touched surfaces.
Stay home if you are sick or a household member is sick or waiting for test results.

In-home vaccinations are available to homebound individuals who are not able to leave their home to get to a vaccination site, even with assistance. For those Shrewsbury residents who are in a homebound situation and are in need of a COVID-19 vaccination, please contact the:

Residents in Phase 1 or Phase 2 are eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine now. All residents can preregister to book an appointment at a mass vaccination site at mass.gov/COVIDVaccine or dial Mass 2-1-1 for assistance. Residents age 60+ may call the Shrewsbury Senior Center at 508-841-8640 or Mass 2-1-1 for assistance.
Appointments will be offered based on eligibility and available appointments nearby. It is expected that more sites will come online as part of the preregistration process in April.

- April 19th: General public ages 16 years of age and older

The Administration has received assurances from the federal government that an increased vaccine supply will be available to states soon. Depending on supply, it could take weeks for people to be notified that an appointment is available at a mass vaccination site.
