On Wednesday, March 31, 2021, the Water and Sewer Division and contractor Hydra Tech will be replacing a water valve at the intersection of Estabrook Road and Willow Street and must suspend water service in the area to complete the work. The work is expected to begin at approximately 7:00 a.m. and be completed by 4:00 p.m. This work is necessary to continue the unidirectional flushing program and to ensure system reliability. Please follow the link below for a map of the area where water service will be interrupted.

In order to complete the valve replacement work, residents on the following streets will not have water starting at 9:00 a.m.

  • Estabrook Road
  • Willow Street
  • Laurel Avenue
  • Arnold Road
  • Woodland Road

Water service is expected to be restored by 3:00 p.m.

Residents in the vicinity of the project may experience brief periods of reduced pressure or discolored water. If you experience discolored water once the project is complete, please run the cold water in downstairs bathtub until it clears.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please contact the Water and Sewer Division at 508-841-8502 or dpwsupport@shrewsburyma.gov if you have any questions.
