We are currently working with the contractor to schedule water valve replacements and flushing of Zones 7 and 8. This work will not begin until at least after December 1st, please check our website for updates. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to make improvements to our water distribution system to ensure reliability and good water quality. Today they finished flushing the Concord Road, Minuteman Way, Bunker Hill Road, and Lexington Road area as well as Fifth Avenue, Cottage Avenue, Lakeside Path, Beacon Street to complete Zone 2.
When the unidirectional flushing program was developed, the Town was divided into 12 zones to make managing the program easier. Hydra Tech completed Zone 1 on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, Zone 6 on Tuesday, October 13, 2020, and Zone 5 in March 2020. They are also scheduled to complete flushing in Zones 7 and 8, this fall. Zones 7 and 8 require valve replacements in order for unidirectional flushing to be completed correctly. We will be scheduling these replacements over the next few months. Please see the map for more information about the location of the Zones.

Due to the flushing, residents in the identified area as well as those in the vicinity of the project may experience brief periods of interrupted service, reduced pressure, or discolored water.
If you experience discolored water once the flushing is complete, please run the cold water in downstairs bathtub until it clears.
