The Water Department is continuing Water Main Cleaning on North Quinsigamond Ave between West Main St. and the Post Office entrance driveway this upcoming Monday, October 24th between the hours of 4 A.M. – 7 A.M., approximately. Due to the large amount of material buildup, this section which was done on Thursday, October 20th needs to be done a second time in a reverse direction. The entire North Quinsigamond area is extremely difficult to work in with line configuration and excess material buildup, causing flow restrictions. Many of our cleaning runs may need to be done multiple times to achieve adequate results. The West Main St. and Old Mill Rd. sections are showing good results to this point. We will update our schedule further next Monday, after our work is completed. Discolored water may be experienced in this direct area, as well as adjacent areas during and after the work is completed.
