On Thursday night, June 4, 2020, starting at 9:00 p.m., contractor ET&L will be connecting the new water main installed at the bridge on Rte. 140 over Rte. 290 and must turn off the existing main in that area. Residents in the Colonial Drive area may experience very low water pressure during the project which is expected to be completed by 5:00 a.m.  The area is serviced by a second water main which will not be impacted. Please see the attached map for additional information.

Once the project is complete, residents in the immediate and adjacent areas may experience brief periods of discolored water. If you experience discolored water once the work is complete, please run the cold water in downstairs bathtub or outside faucet until it clears.

We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to make improvements to our water distribution system to ensure reliability and good water quality. Please contact the Department of Public Works at 508-841-8502 with questions, or visit for more details.
