June 22, 2020 update which includes details on overnight work that will be completed:

J.L Raymaakers began construction on Route 20 (Hartford Turnpike) on May 18, 2020 and has progressed from Lakeside Drive to Lake Street with installation of 2,600 linear feet of new sewer force main as of June 19, 2020.

Construction of new sewer will continue from Lakeside Drive towards the Worcester town line and also on the Lake Street near the intersection at Route 20 in the upcoming weeks.  Single lane traffic remains open in both directions at these locations.

Work will continue daily Monday-Friday, weather permitting, and night work will be performed Monday, June 22, and Tuesday, June 23 in the Lake Street @ Route 20 Intersection from 8PM to 5AM.

This project includes the installation of new sewer mains on Arrowwood Drive, Lake Street (from Arrowwood Drive to Route 20), and along Route 20 (from Lake Street to the Worcester City line). Upgrades to sewer pump stations located on Arrowwood Drive and Route 20 at Lakeside Drive will also be a part of this project.

Construction will will be ongoing, weather permitting, and we are not anticipating any disruptions to sewer service at this time. Work will take place during daytime hours with one lane of traffic planned to be open in each direction. However, delays can be expected so motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists are encouraged to seek alternate routes. Please see the attached map for more information about the project.
