[ARCHIVED] Online Building Permit System Maintenance

guy.jpg

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing up-to-date and efficient services, the Town of Shrewsbury Online Building Permit system will undergo a scheduled maintenance from Friday 7/15 through Monday 7/18. Our online permit system will be unavailable during this time. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

During our scheduled maintenance we will migrate all permit data and user information to our new system. This will be an entirely new application called PermitsPro from Patriot Properties. The system will have enhanced features and better performance over our existing platform. Once this migration is complete the permits system will be back online. The project's progress will be announced on our website.

One major change that we want residents and contractors to be prepared for is that their user ID will change. In response to constructive suggestions from you, our customers, your email address will become your login ID. Should you forget your password, the system will also have a self-service password reset function.

All existing registered users will be prompted to set up their new user ID and password on your first login to the new system. This process will not only create your new user ID, it will also associate all your historical permit data to your new login. This first login process may take slightly longer to complete, but all subsequent transactions will be normal.

If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions or issues regarding the new system; please contact the Building Inspector's office at 508-841-8512. Or you may contact the Town's Chief Information Officer via email at: jcovey@shrewsburyma.gov.

Thank you for your patience during this transition.
