[ARCHIVED] Board of Selectmen vote to enact a Declaration of Local State of Emergency in response to COVID-19

On March 24, 2020, the Board of Selectmen voted to enact a Declaration of Local State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As Town Manager Kevin Mizikar stated,

"First and foremost, the Declaration of Emergency will acknowledge just how serious this situation has become for our residents. Second, it provides authority from the Board of Selectmen to the Town Manager to take extraordinary but measured actions to facilitate and expedite the use of measured resources to protect our residents. Lastly, it allows for certain extraordinary financial and procurement actions to facilitate the operation of the Town. "
