SPECIAL NOTICE REGARDING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

Shrewsbury is continuing to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and is committed to act in the best interest of our staff and community. To help mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 virus in our community the following measures are effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020:
All Shrewsbury Senior Center events, programs, and classes that take place in the center are suspended until further notice.
- The Senior Center is closed to the public until further notice (effective March 16, 2020).
- Senior Center transportation services are cancelled until further notice (effective March 18, 2020).
WRTA will provide service to currently eligible ADA (American with Disabilities Act) registered riders who are travelling in the ADA service area. This is a constantly changing situation and WRTA will continue to update as necessary. ADA riders may contact PBSI @ 508-752-9283 ext. 1 to request transportation. All others requesting transportation should contact Yellow Cab Company at 508-754-3211.
The Senior Center will continue with the Meals on Wheels Program through Elder Services. Questions concerning the Meals on Wheels Program should be directed to Elder Services of Worcester at 508-756-1545.
Office staff will be happy to take your calls to answer any questions that you have during normal business hours at 508-841-8640.
Shrewsbury Council on Aging/ Senior Center will communicate via e-mails, social media, and website when programs are to return to their normal schedules.
