[ARCHIVED] Update from the Water & Sewer Division - Emergency Valve Repairs Complete Raymond Ave at Rte. 140

March 13, 2020, 9:45 p.m. update: The Water and Sewer Division and contractor Hydra Tech have completed the emergency water valve replacement at the intersection of Grafton Street and Raymond Avenue that malfunctioned during the unidirectional flushing program and was leaking extensively. Water service is now in the process of being restored to the area.  Once crews have the mains filled with water, they will flush several areas to fully restore the system which is expected to take up to an additional two hours.  An additional update will be sent out when the project is complete and crews have left for the night.

If you experience discolored water once service has been completely restored, please run the cold water in an outside faucet, or downstairs bathtub until it clears.

We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to make improvements to our water distribution system to ensure reliability and good water quality.

If you have any questions please contact the Water and Sewer Division at 508-841-8506.
