[ARCHIVED] Update from the Water and Sewer Division - Unidirectional Flushing will Continue Today 3/13

March 13, 2020, 6:00 a.m. update: unidirectional flushing has completed last night and will be ongoing until around 4:00 p.m. today. 

Hydra Tech will continue unidirectional flushing  on the first sequence in the list below and will progress in order.  It is difficult to estimate how the work will progress each night so this may be optimistic but is provided to better inform everyone in the area that may be flushed. 

Tentative list of sequences to flush for today, March 13:

1. Westmont Road

2. Westmont Circle

3. Gage Lane

4. Grafton Street from Main Street to Stonybrook Lane

5. Wesleyan Street

6. Hascall Street

7. Wesleyan Terrace from Maple Avenue to Knowlton Avenue

8. Taft Road

9. Knowlton Avenue

10. Municipal Drive

11. Daniel Road

12. Elma Circle

13. Richard Avenue

14. Maple Circle

15. Brightside Place

Last night Hydra Tech was able to complete unidirectional flushing on these streets:

Surrey Lane

Colton Lane

Beaver Drive

Westwood Road from Beaver Drive to Surrey Lane

Maple Avenue from Main Street to Taft Road

Maple Avenue from Taft Road to Brightside Place

Maple Avenue from Brightside Place to Rosedale Avenue

Oak Street from Maple Avenue to Gale Avenue

Gale Avenue

Rosedale Avenue

Newton Street

Oak Street from Gale Avenue to the Oak Street School

Due to the flushing, residents in the identified area as well as those in the vicinity of the project may experience brief periods of reduced pressure or discolored water.  

If you experience discolored water once the flushing is complete, please run the cold water in downstairs bathtub until it clears.
