THE WATER AND SEWER DIVISION HAS CONCLUDED SANITARY SEWER INVESTIGATIONS FOR THE SEASON.
May 27th update: the Town’s wastewater consultants, Weston & Sampson, along with contractor National Water Main Cleaning, have concluded investigations of the sanitary sewer system for the season.
These investigations were conducted as part of Shrewsbury’s 2020 Infiltration Investigations Project. The purpose of the investigations is to locate sources of groundwater entering the sanitary sewer. By removing this extra flow, Shrewsbury will reduce the amount of wastewater it sends to the regional Westborough Wastewater Treatment Plant.
