[ARCHIVED] Important Notice from the Shrewsbury D.P.W. Water & Sewer Division - Lake Street Flow Testing

Water pump with text Shrewsbury Water Department and Established 1905 around pump

Flow testing of the water distribution system will be conducted on Lake Street, near the construction site of the new Beal School on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, beginning at approximately 1:00 p.m.  This test is necessary to gather important water flow data for the fire suppression system that is being designed for the new Beal School and is expected to be completed in under one hour.

During the test, residents in the immediate and adjacent areas may experience brief periods of reduced pressure or discolored water.  If you experience discolored water once the test is complete, please run the cold water in downstairs bathtub until it clears.  Please refer to the attached map for more information.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and cooperation.  Please contact DPW at 508-841-8502 with any questions.
