The DPW Water and Sewer Division worked through the night to complete emergency repairs and restore water to two reported water main breaks. The first location was on School Street near Sheehan Drive and the second was in the vicinity of 199 Spring Street. With temperatures in the low 20’s overnight, the Highway Division responded once the repairs were compete to apply salt to the roads in both locations due to icing from the breaks.
Residents in the vicinity of the repairs may experience discolored water. If that occurs, please run cold water in a bathtub until it clears.
