[ARCHIVED] Notice from the Shrewsbury D.P.W.- Water & Sewer Division-Lake Street Water Main Project

Water pump with text Shrewsbury Water Department and Established 1905 around pump

On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, Haluch Water Contracting Inc, will be connecting the recently installed water main on Lake Street to the new water main near the entrance to the Beal School construction site, and needs to suspend water service on Lake Street to complete the project. The contractor plans on beginning at 8:30AM and expects to have the necessary work completed and water service in the area restored by approximately 12:00PM.  During this time, residents on Lake Street beginning at the entrance to Buffalo Wild Wings and the area south including Lake Street to Faulkner Road and the streets adjacent including Roman Drive, Hylair Drive, Topsfield Circle, Sheryl Drive, Hemmingway Street, Harris Avenue, and Faulkner Road will not have water service.

Residents in the vicinity of the impacted area may also have reduced pressure or discolored water due to the interruption in water service.

If you experience discolored water after service is restored, please run the cold water in an outside faucet, or downstairs bathtub until it clears.

We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.  If you have any questions please contact the Water and Sewer Division at 508-841-8506, or visit shrewsburyma.gov/watersewer.
