The Shrewsbury Police Department in conjunction with the Central MA Regional Public Health Alliance (CMRPHA) coordinates Medication Take Back events twice per year. 

The next scheduled Medication Take Back event is scheduled for:

DATE:     Saturday, October 26, 2019
TIME:      10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
PLACE:   Shrewsbury Senior Center, 98 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA 01545
WHO:      Open to the General Public

Any and all unwanted, unused, expired over-the-counter or prescribed medication will be accepted. No fee, no questions asked!

UNACCEPTED:  Sharps* (needles, lancets, EpiPens). 
*Shrewsbury residents may dispose of Sharps at the Health Department located on the first floor of the Town Hall if they are in a puncture-proof and tightly sealed container. Residents from other municipalities should contact their Local Board of Health for proper disposal information.

When there are no scheduled Medication Take Back events, residents may place them in a Medication Drop-off Kiosk Box* located at:

     Open 24 hours

*IMPORTANT:  This is for the disposal of medication ONLY (no sharps* - i.e. needles, lancets, etc.)
