The Shrewsbury Police Department in conjunction with the Central MA Regional Public Health Alliance (CMRPHA) coordinates Medication Take Back events twice per year.

Any and all unwanted, unused, expired over-the-counter or prescribed medication will be accepted. No fee, no questions asked!
UNACCEPTED: Sharps* (needles, lancets, EpiPens). *Shrewsbury residents may dispose of Sharps at the Health Department located on the first floor of the Town Hall if they are in a puncture-proof and tightly sealed container. Residents from other municipalities should contact their Local Board of Health for proper disposal information.
When there are no scheduled Medication Take Back events, residents may place them in a Medication Drop-off Kiosk Box* located at:
