[ARCHIVED] Sanitary Sewer Investigations

TOWN OF SHREWSBURY TO CONDUCT SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM INVESTIGATIONS

On behalf of the Town of Shrewsbury, the Town’s wastewater consultants, Weston & Sampson, will be conducting investigations of the sanitary sewer system in the Main Boulevard, Grafton Street to South Street (from Stonybrook Lane and Lamplighter Drive to Route 9), Hill Street (from Straw Hollow Lane to Grafton Street), Mercury Drive, Tanglewood Drive, Spring Terrace at Spring Street, East Avenue and Main Circle areas of Town. Weston & Sampson may need to access your property to conduct the investigations in sanitary sewer easements operated and maintained by the Town. This work will be conducted in April 2016.

These investigations are being conducted as part of Shrewsbury’s 2016 Infiltration Investigations Project. The purpose of the investigations is to locate sources of groundwater entering the sanitary sewer. By removing this extra flow, Shrewsbury will reduce the amount of wastewater it sends to the regional Westborough Wastewater Treatment Plant.

We apologize for any inconvenience you may experience during this work and appreciate your continued cooperation while we strive to improve our sanitary sewer system.
