[ARCHIVED] Notice from the Shrewsbury D.P.W.- Water & Sewer Division- Hydrant Flushing Update

On Monday, May 13th along with Tuesday, May 14th, hydrant flushing will be conducted from 8AM- 3PM daily first in the Crescent St. area starting at Shady Ln. progressing southerly to the Meadow Ln., Harriet Ave., and Saybrook Rd. areas.  Work will next progress to the Lake St. area starting at the intersection of Spruce St. southerly to the Boston Turnpike along with all adjacent streets.  The Harrington Farms development should not be affected by this work.  Generally, work will be in the Crescent St. area Monday and the Lake St. area on Tuesday.  Residents should refrain from water related activities such as laundry and food preparation to avoid introducing discolored water into their residence.  If discolored water is encountered, please run only cold water from an outside faucet or downstairs bathtub until the water clears to keep sediment out of your hot water system or other household fixtures after the time period of flushing is complete.  Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
