On Sunday, April 28th, in order to clear areas around Beal School, Sherwood Middle School, Oak Middle School and the Montessori School, along with the UMass facility, (former Worcester Foundation), Town Hall, Senior Center and various medical and food establishments, Maple Ave. will be flushed starting at Main St. westerly to View St., starting at 5 A.M. until 3 P.M.. Work will then progress west to east for side streets starting at Rosedale Ave, then Oak St. from Maple Ave. to our water tank zone split, just past the Montessori School and then onward to Hutchins St. to Orchard Rd. areas, then into Crescent Street.
On Monday, April 29th, hydrant flushing is scheduled for areas on the western side of Prospect St. from Loring St. to Hill St. Roads in this area would be Hill St. to Mercury Dr. to Venus Dr. to Saturn Dr. and the entire Plant neighborhood area. Also included will be Fox Hill Rd. to Red Coat Rd. and Red Coat Circle, Straw Hollow Ln., Applewood Circle and Broushane Circle. Work will be conducted between 8 AM to 3 PM. Please refrain from water related activities such as laundry or food preparation until all work is completed as to not introduce discolored water into your home. If discolored water is encountered in the direct or adjacent flushing areas, please run your cold water only from an outside faucet or downstairs bathtub until clear.
