The Town Manager is seeking a qualified individual interested in serving on the Commission on Disabilities for a three year term to expire on June 30, 2022.
The Commission on Disabilities consists of seven (7) persons appointed for staggered terms and is responsible for advising the community on issues associated with disabled persons. The specific duties and required composition of the Commission is set forth in M.G.L. Ch40, Section 8J.
The Commission meets quarterly throughout the year in addition to special meetings depending on the workload of the Commission. Information on the Commission on Disabilities can be viewed at https://shrewsburyma.gov/189/Commission-on-Disabilities
Interested persons must be registered voters of the Town and are asked a submit a letter of interest and qualifications to Kevin J. Mizikar, Town Manager, 100 Maple Avenue by mail, or email to vclemmey@shrewsburyma.gov no later than 4:30 pm on Wednesday June 12, 2019.
