The Board of Selectmen is seeking a qualified individual interested in serving on the Zoning Board of Appeals as a member.**
The Zoning Board of Appeals consists of (5) members appointed for two year terms and (4) associate members appointed annually and is responsible to hear appeals brought by residents pursuant to Chapter 40A of the General Laws and the Zoning By-Law of the Town of Shrewsbury.
The Zoning Board of Appeals meets monthly throughout the year on an as needed basis depending on the case load.
Interested persons must be registered voters of the Town and are asked to submit a letter of interest via mail or email with qualifications to the Board of Selectmen by mail at 100 Maple Avenue, Shrewsbury, MA or by email to selectmen@shrewsburyma.gov , no later 4:30 pm on Wednesday December 5, 2018.
** This vacancy is contingent upon approval from the Attorney General’s Office relative to the decision on Article 9 at the October 22, 2018 Special Town Meeting.
