[ARCHIVED] Request to fill a vacancy in Rider Community Population position for the WRTA Advisory Board

The WRTA Advisory Board is seeking to fill a vacancy on its Advisory Board.  This is a voted position on the WRTA Board for a person designated as “Rider Community Population”.   We are reaching out to the communities that fall under the WRTA fixed route services to see if there is an interest from Shrewsbury community to appoint someone to serve in this position on our board.

 

·         The position is for one year and rotates throughout the towns within our fixed route communities. 

·         The date of response will be the determining factor of order in consideration for which town/appointee fills the vacancy.  The other appointees will be listed by date received and placed in que for the following term.    

 

The town appointed person would be required to attend the monthly (3rd Thursday at 8:30 a.m.) Advisory Board meetings and must be a fixed route rider (not a COA participant for service) and be a resident in appointing community. This is a volunteer position. The address is WRTA Hub 60 Foster Street, Worcester, MA 01608. The appointed person will receive monthly correspondences regarding meetings and reports. Email is the preferred method of communication but postal mail requests can be accommodated.
