On Thursday August 2nd, water main repair and replacement work will be conducted at the Rt. 140 and Main St. intersection in the Town Center. Work is scheduled from 7 AM to 4 PM and will involve shutting off the water on Main St. from Job Cushing Rd. to the Town Center, including all of Job Cushing Rd., Alden Ave. and Gates Road. Water is scheduled to be turned off at 8 AM until job completion, to allow residents to get off to work in the morning. As part of this work, discolored water may be experienced in the immediate and adjacent areas of Town. Please refrain from water related activities such as laundry and food preparation during this time period so as to not introduce discolored water into the residence.
The construction work will affect traffic in the center of Town and adjacent streets during this time. Please adjust your travel plans accordingly or if possible, avoid this area of Town completely.
