Due to unseen circumstances, Friday's tree collection will not be completed today January 8, 2021. A separate collection vehicle will be out on Saturday, January 9, 2021, to collect the Christmas Trees from Friday routes.
Trash & Recycling pickup will be delayed from Friday January 1, 2021 to Saturday January 2, 2021 due to the New Year holiday. This is a yellow mixed-paper week for recycling collection. Please have all items to the curb by 7am.
If you are a Friday route for solid waste & recycling, your pickup will be delayed on Friday December 25, 2020 to Saturday December 26, 2020. Please have all items to the curb by 7am.Please note that Saturday December 26, 2020 is also your opportunity to place one non Pay-As-You-Throw trash bag out for collection.
Christmas Tree Pickup will be on your regular scheduled pickup day for all Pay-As-You-Throw households during the weeks of o Monday January 4, 2021 through Friday January 8, 20210 Monday January 11, 2021 through Friday January 15, 2021Please place only one REAL Christmas tree per household, free of snow and ice, free of decorations, and not frozen to the ground. Trees must be visible to the collection crew and placed at the curb by 7am.
❄️☃️Snow Update!Due to the pending snowstorm, December 16 - December 17, 2020, trash and recycling collections will be delayed one (1) day. 🗑Thursday, December 17, 2020 trash and recycling will be collected on Friday, December 18, 2020 🗑Friday, December 18, 2020 trash and recycling will be collected on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Please make sure that your collections are at the curb in a visible area for the collection crew. The Highway Division has also updated its web content pertaining to the Town's Snow and & Ice Operations to better communicate the work being done and how we can all assist in the operations. For at least the past 15 years, the Town of Shrewsbury has offered to their residents the collection of “One Free Non- PAYT Trash Bag” starting right after the Christmas holiday to encourage the residents to dispose of non-recyclable items such as wrapping paper and Styrofoam, which could represent potential contaminants in our recycling streams.Click the link below for details and pickup dates.
Yard waste pickup for Wednesday routes will be delayed until Friday 11/27. Waste Management will send out additional trucks to assist with pickup as collection was more than anticipated. Over 130 tons have been collected since Monday thus far. The Town Hall and Waste Management will be closed on Thursday 11/26. Town Hall will also be closed on Friday 11/27. Thursday trash & recycling routes will be picked up on Friday, and Friday trash & recycling routes will be picked up on Saturday.Please call Waste Management at 1-800-972-4545 if you experience any additional delays.
Waste Management is experiencing delays with yard waste pickup, and has sent out extra trucks to assist with the high demand. Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday routes should be completed today Wed. 11/25/2020. The Town Hall and Waste Management will be closed on Thursday 11/26. Town Hall will also be closed on Friday 11/27. There will be a one day delay for Thursday & Friday trash and recycling routes due to the Thanksgiving Holiday.If your trash and recycling in normally picked up on Thursday, it will be picked up on Friday 11/27.If your trash and recycling is normally picked up on Friday, it will be picked up on Saturday 11/28. Services will resume the normal operating schedule on Monday November 30th. Please make sure to have all items to the curb by 7:00 am.
