Group Study Rooms
The library's four group study rooms may be booked by small groups for up to two hours at a time. Patrons may only have one active room booking in the system at a time. Before booking a room, please make sure you are familiar with the library's Group Study Room Use Policy.
Group study rooms may be booked online here, in person at the library, or over the phone by calling 508-841-8609 x2 to reach the reference desk. Users must have a valid C/W MARS library card to book group study rooms.
The library has one large (or when divided, two small meeting rooms) available for use by public groups and associations. Use of our meeting spaces must be booked ahead of time and may be subject to a fee in accordance with the following policy (PDF). Please review the policy before submitting your request.
Booking a Meeting Room
The Shrewsbury Public Library offers meeting rooms for use by community groups or associations for educational, informational, cultural, intellectual or charitable purposes. Use of Library facilities is not for commercial purposes.
The Community meeting rooms are available for community groups and associations to use for meetings, workshops and other gatherings.
Before you apply for use of the Meeting Room please read the policy, complete the form on the last page of the policy, and submit online or in person to the main service desk on the first floor of the library. Forms can also be emailed to email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org.
All meeting rooms are subject to availability. Library sponsored programs have priority over outside groups. The Library reserves the right to reschedule confirmed reservations to accommodate library-sponsored programs and events. To minimize this possibility the Library takes bookings no more than two months in advance.
The fact that an organization is permitted to meet at the Library does not constitute an endorsement of the organization's beliefs by the Library, its staff, its Board of Trustees, or the Town of Shrewsbury.
