Exciting News! The Town of Shrewsbury has been awarded $100,000 in MVP Action Grant Funds from the Baker-Polito Administration to Build Climate Resilience!

Shrewsbury, MA is thrilled to announce it has received a $100,000 municipal climate resilience grant to create a Climate Action Plan.  The Planning and Economic Development Department along with support from the Department of Public Works applied for and were able to secure this grant for the Town.  The goal of the project is to create a Plan that acts as a roadmap for how Shrewsbury will take action in the next 5 years to make progress toward the Town’s climate goals. The Plan would be organized into five specific focus areas to address climate change: the built environment, energy, transportation, natural resources, and preparedness.
