2022 Friends of the Library Scholarship Application

The Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library announces the sponsorship of an annual scholarship in the amount of $1,500 to a student residing in Shrewsbury, graduating from a local public or private high school this school year, and continuing his/her education the following academic year as a full-time student working toward a bachelor's or associate's degree.  The Friends' intent for this award is to assist in the purchase of the student's textbooks and other course materials.

2021 Friends of the Library Scholarship Award


The Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library is pleased to announce the recipient of their 2021 Scholarship in the amount of $1,500.00 which benefits a Shrewsbury resident graduating from high school this spring. The Friends' intent is to assist in the purchase of the recipient's textbooks and/or other course materials.

Fiona Tanikonda, a Shrewsbury resident and a 2021 graduate of Shrewsbury High School has been awarded the 2021 Friends of the Shrewsbury Public Library Scholarship. She will be attending the University of Massachusetts Amherst in the fall with an intended major of Operations and Information Management. Fiona is the daughter of Elisha Tanikonda and Srujana Lakka of Stoney Hill Road. Congratulations to Fiona.
