Summer Reading

Library's Summer Reading Program

Summer Reading for Children

Summer Reading 2019 is all about A Universe of Stories! The Children’s Room summer program is for readers and pre-readers up to Grade 5, and runs from June 21st through August 17th. Each child who signs up will receive a cool lanyard with a tracking card to keep a log of their reading time. Once a child fills a log they get to spin our prize wheel for a chance to win toys, books, and gift cards to local businesses, along with a raffle ticket for a chance to win larger prizes. For other programs during the summer, please grab a brochure from the Children's Room or check out our online calendar.

Summer Reading Fun For Teens and Adults

For Young Adults entering grades 6-12, and for adults, there is a fun challenge planned. We are tying in with the Great American Read on pbs.org and will provide the list of 100 most popular books. These include classics and contemporary titles. Pick up a Bingo sheet at the library starting June 25th, read books from different genres and enter raffles to win fabulous prizes! Final drawing will be on August 17th.
