Birth records are available for children who were born in Shrewsbury or whose parents resided in Shrewsbury at the time of the birth. Death records are available for persons who deceased in Shrewsbury or whose residence at the time of death was Shrewsbury. Marriage records up to 1979 are available for persons who resided in Shrewsbury at the time of marriage or who were married in the town of Shrewsbury. Records from 1980 to present are available for couples who obtained a marriage license in Shrewsbury.

Persons conducting a business under any title other than the true name of the person, partnership or corporation, must file a Business Certificate (DBA) in every community where an office of the business is situated. There is a $25 filing fee and a fee of $10 is charged to amend or discontinue a DBA. Business Certificates are valid for 4 years.
