The three-member Sewer Commission usually meets monthly to review and act upon rules and regulations, sewer rates, abatements, petitions for sewerage connections, and capital planning for the sewer system.
About the Town's sewer system:
- Established in 1963
- 169.97 miles of mains
- 39 pump stations
- 4,330 manholes
- The Town had a waste water treatment plant until the mid-1980’s before regionalizing with Westborough. Today, most flow goes to Westborough and a small portion goes to the Upper Blackstone Clean Water facility and the Town of Grafton.
- Approximately 90% of the Town is serviced by municipal sewer
