About the Committee
The Scholarship Fund was established at Town Meeting in 1995.
The Scholarship Committee is responsible for collecting and reviewing applications for the Town Scholarship every March. Scholarships are awarded to deserving high school seniors who are residents of Shrewsbury. Awards are based on financial need, character, community service and academic achievement.

The submission period for the
2022 Town of Shrewsbury Scholarship is now open!
Please follow the link HERE for a downloadable PDF form. You may fill it out electronically or print it and fill it out on paper.
Your completed application, official high school transcript, personal essay and one letter of recommendation must be received by the Board of Selectmen no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 10, 2022. Mail these documents to:

You may also opt to hand deliver your completed application package including all required documents to the Board of Selectmen’s Office in the Town Hall by the March 10, 2022 deadline. The office is open Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Applications received after 4:00pm on Thursday, March 10, 2022 will not be accepted. Should the Town Hall be closed to the general public due to ongoing COVID issues, the complete application can be placed in the new Town Bills Box in front of the Town Hall.

Contributing to the Scholarship Fund
Since the creation of the Scholarship Fund, many Shrewsbury residents and businesses have generously supported deserving high school seniors in their pursuit of a higher education.
Residents can make tax deductible contributions to the scholarship fund by filling out a contribution form, sending it along with their excise and property tax bills, or by
donating online. Direct donations are also accepted any time at the
Treasurer's Office.
